DEMEX was engaged by RCP Australia as Principal Contractor to deliver asbestos removal, demolition and civil works at St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School in Ascot, Queensland. Forming part of the Arts Precinct redevelopment, the project involved preparing an occupied school environment for new learning facilities while maintaining strict safety and operational controls.
Works included asbestos removal, soft strip-out and demolition of existing school buildings, associated structures and slabs, together with service disconnections, earthworks and civil preparation for future construction. Delivery occurred within an active school environment, requiring staged methodologies, controlled access management and close coordination with stakeholders to minimise disruption to staff, students and daily operations.
