DEMEX was contracted to demolish five buildings and the strip out of a sixth building for the expansion of a new school in Cooma, NSW.
The buildings were be demolished over five stages which includes all surrounding pavement and landscaping to the area.
Remediation works were conducted during school holidays and during school term which was conducted under extremely high safety constraints as determined by the NSW Government Work Health & Safety Act
During Demolition works, unexpected finds of friable asbestos through many areas of the buildings which needed extensive remediation works prior to any mechanical demolition taking place.
