The project included a four day closure of the area surrounding the pedestrian bridge. This was achieved in coordination with the local Gold Coast City Council, Queensland Police and WHSQ. DEMEX worked with an independent traffic control company to develop detailed traffic management plans, install permanent diversions around the area, and to have open dialogue with the surrounding businesses to limit the disruption caused by the project.
