DEMEX were engaged by Hutchinson Builders to complete the full demolition of the Gold Coast shopping centre known as The Paradise Centre, located on the Esplanade of Surfers Paradise CBD.

Project Scope
As part of the demolition programme DEMEX completed the full internal strip out of the former bowling alley, shooting gallery and night club facilities within the Complex. Demolition involved intricate planning to dismantle the monolithic structure, and the logistics required to work around the still operating shopping centre’s large exhaust fans which were operational during the span project.
Project Highlights
Works were undertaken using 30 tonne excavators working on a fully propped suspended slab.
