DEMEX was engaged as principal contractor to undertake asbestos removal and demolition of the large cold store warehouse facility in East Brisbane, making way for future redevelopment.

DEMEX completed asbestos removal and demolition works associated with multiple structures on Thursday Island; a remote location 39 kilometres north of Cape York Peninsula in Queensland.

DEMEX was engaged by Ports North to undertake deconstruction of the ageing White’s Shed, an historic sugar handling facility at the port, which had not been in use since the 1960’s.

DEMEX was contracted to take over as principal contractor to demolish the Leichhardt Hotel in Rockhampton CBD following a Prohibition Notice issued on the previous contractor by WorkSafe Queensland.

DEMEX was engaged to safely demolish seven bridges in a five kilometre stretch of the Pacific Motorway upgrade project representing Package C of the greater $1.5 billion-dollar Pacific Motorway upgrade project.

As principal contractor DEMEX was engaged to undertake demolition, asbestos removal, and remediation works to enable restoration to natural bush of the 4.2-hectare parcel of land holding residences, human infrastructure, and 120 years of accumulated waste.

DEMEX was engaged as principal contractor to dismantle and relocate a waste processing plant located in an industrial precinct in the outer suburbs of Perth.

As part of ongoing redevelopment works at the Lithgow Small Arms Factory, DEMEX was engaged as principal contractor by Thales (Australia) to undertake full and partial demolition of multiple structures and site remediation.

DEMEX was engaged as a subcontractor by Thales to undertake demolition and asbestos removal works at the Mulwala Explosives Facility in regional New South Wales. 

DEMEX was engaged as principal contractor to undertake demolition of multiple structures affected by the South East Queensland floods in January 2022.

The client engaged DEMEX initially to undertake the removal of the disassembled gas turbine from the site prior to commencement of subsequent works to demolish and remove two redundant cooling towers 200 metres in length, 20 metres wide and 15 metres high.

DEMEX was engaged as principal contractor by QBuild, the Queensland State Government’s builder, working in conjunction with Queensland Parks and Wildlife, to demolish 20 tourist unit structures and associated facilities on Wild Duck Island off the Central Queensland Coast within a six-week timeframe.
